newsrooms.ai Goes to London! Presenting at the MINDS Conference
The first major international appearance for newsrooms.ai, the AI spin-off from Trending Topics, is here: We have been invited to the MINDS Conference in London on Thursday and Friday to present our AI-driven solutions for digital publishing and content production to representatives of the world's leading news agencies. The conference takes place at London's iconic Canary Wharf, hosted by the legendary news agency Reuters.
AI in the Spotlight of the Media Industry
"As in previous MINDS conferences, artificial intelligence and its applications will be at the centre of our discussions. The use of AI in editorial workflows, the responsible use of generative AI tools, and the external effects these tools create regarding trust and news verification lead us to the following questions: How is AI changing our newsrooms? What does AI mean for the future of news agencies? Are there new revenue streams to unlock? What ethical and transparent frameworks need to be established?" said the organisers.
newsrooms.ai in Practice
These are all pressing questions for the media industry, and newsrooms.ai aims to contribute to the answers. The AI tool is used daily at Trending Topics itself and can not only summarise press releases in the outlet's own style, translate content, and transcribe podcasts and audio interviews, but now even conduct interviews.
To that end, we recently launched the Startup Interviewer, which founders can use free of charge — automated interviews with startup founders are now published on a daily basis.
The MINDS Media Innovation Network
The MINDS Conference is organised by the MINDS Media Innovation Network, whose members include the world's largest and most important news agencies, among them Reuters, dpa, AFP, AP, APA, Keystone-SDA, and many more.
"We believe we have a very compelling software solution for these agencies and their clients — one that deploys the latest Large Language Models (LLMs) in a meaningful and innovative way for publishers, unlocking efficiencies and giving staff more time to focus on what matters most: researching stories," said Jakob Steinschaden and Bastian Kellhofer, founders of Trending Topics.
